The Accountability Council (AC) is tasked with evaluating the actions of the Board and providing advice on a number of key areas. The Council is made up of eight members.

In its final evaluation of 2016, the Accountability Council expressed its satisfaction with the Board's actions and the overall policy implemented in 2016. The findings and recommendations from the Accountability Council related to the policy funding level, with a particular focus on SRI, as well as to the changes the Accountability Council would like to see in the PPS investment policy. Besides this, the Accountability Council evaluated the communication, governance, and strategy of the pension fund. The Accountability Council has highlighted the importance of conducting thorough interim evaluations of the administration agreement.
