  • PDN has a professional, solid Board in terms of its members’ individual and collective skills.
  • the combination of a new, more compact Board model and the ‘Commissie Beleggingen en Financieel Risicomangement’ (the Commission for Investments and Financial Risk Management, CBFR) appears to be working well.
  • the addition of an ‘external Board member’ has enriched the Board; the Board's expertise and experience of the pension sector gives more countervailing power within the Board.
  • the Board is able to learn, evaluate, and draw lessons from its evaluations.
  • the Board ensures effective communication with all parties involved, in particular with members, as regards the financial situation of the fund and possible curtailments.
